        The International Buddhism Center at Wat Phrathat Doi Suthepwas established with the purpose of supporting world peace. At the present time, our society is in a period of rapid change and there are many problems. The Dhamma of the Buddha is a necessity for this world because the teachings offer a peaceful way of living for everyone. There is currently a growing interest in Buddhism from people all over the world, especially from westerners. The Buddha's teachings address many of the issues and problems we face in our everyday lives and offer guidelines for living a life that maximizes happiness and minimizes suffering. Since Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep is a famous temple, many tourists come and visit and many are interested in Buddhism, the Buddha's Dhamma and the religious and cultural traditions of the Thai way of life.

          For these reasons, Venerable PhraYannasombhodhi(ChiangmaiProvince), Disseminating Sangha Vice President and Chairman Of The Project Committee, decided to establish the International Buddhism Center. It will be supporting the Dhamma of the Buddha for world society and the cooperation of Buddhist groups working together. It offers information on Buddhism for those who are interested.
